About Magical Spaces

North Yorkshire’s number one supplier

of beautiful, wooden A frame dens and other magical products

for families & sleepover businesses.

Our tents are all UKCA/CE tested. They comply with the very latest toy safety standards;

EC/48/09, EN71 part 1, part 2 and part 3 (2019)

At the start of the product journey, every design is made into a prototype and tested and further tested by us, until we are happy (and we are very particular).

Then all new designs, materials and structures are sent to MTS, our accredited testing centre in Leeds, Yorkshire, where they are all EC/48/09, EN71 part 1, part 2 and part 3 (2019) tested and that includes every part; the wood, the fabrics including the sewing thread, where they are awarded their UKCA/CE certification.

Next, Sarah, our all things fabric expert, takes over and this is where the magic happens!

She carefully measures every prototype and works out the exact amount of fabric for each design.

Every product is individually sewn and ironed to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. Because each cover is made in this way, no two covers are identical in size or fit making this a truly bespoke product.

The Magical Spaces 3 Point Safety Design ®

Every design incorporates our unique 3 Point Safety Design® with which all our A frame dens are built.

This 3 Point Safety Design® is exclusively registered & trademarked to Magical Spaces which you will not find anywhere else in the world!

cross joint

Our strong and expertly handcrafted lap joint ensures the wooden frame will not move when it is correctly screwed into place.

This unique feature takes away the risk of the upright legs splaying and causing injury or trapped fingers.

We use metal screw inserts to prevent the wood from splitting and stripping out.

This special feature makes it possible for numerous den constructions and deconstructions without any problems at all.

Cross poles

We use strong Birch Plywood for most of our A frame cross poles.

This prevents accidental breakages and also reduces the chance of the inserts being pulled out during multiple uses.

It makes our dens much more solid and it also gives our frames a beautifully handcrafted finish.
